We have intentionally scheduled this retreat at a time at the end of rainy season and moving into the dry season. Which means there could be less humidity. We suggest you pack a variety of clothing items to include hot sunny day, and it wouldn't hurt to pack a light rain jacket too. The average temperature in June is 73-82 Fahrenheit throughout the month. This is one of the best time to visit Bali.
Be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes, as well as good water shoes for when we do the water ceremony and visit the elephant mud baths. We will include a packing list in your welcome packet for more details.
Like any good spiritual retreat, the effects start to work on you the moment you sign up. Take time to contemplate and set some of your thoughts and intentions onto paper. The more clear you are of what you would like to get out of coming to this retreat, the more you will receive. Nothing like the old adage, "ask and shall receive".
Here are a few suggestions to get you started...
1. I intend on having a relaxed, rejuvenating retreat, as I care for my body, increase my awareness and make new friends along the way.
2. I wish to learn new supportive ways of taking care of my self when I return home.
3. I plan on deepening my connection to source energy, by taking time to care for me.
The village of Ubud is 10 minutes away and there is a free shuttle from the resort. Many wonderful shopping experiences, restaurants and more adventures await in this magical artistic center of Bali. Massage is available at the Hidden Serentiy Resort Spa- we specifically recommend the Shirodhara experience, which is an Ayurvedic healing treatment. Shirodhara comes from the two Sanskrit words “shiro” (head) and “dhara” (flow). It’s an Ayurvedic healing technique that involves having warm oils streaming over the forehead and over the crown of the head. It’s often combined with a body, scalp, or head massage. Ayurveda is a holistic health approach that originated in India thousands of years ago. It focuses on rebalancing the life forces, called doshas, within your body.
